Meet Momenta's Jesse DeMesa at Hitachi Vantara's NEXT2018

NEXT 2018 is Hitachi Vantara's second annual user conference. Technologists and innovators from around the globe will convene to explore how data innovation drives business transformation. Over the course of three days, attendees will engage with technology and business leaders to learn how to embrace the data-driven economy,

Building upon the successful company launch of Hitachi Vantara at last year’s event, NEXT 2018 will provide a comprehensive set of opportunities for customers, prospects, partners, media and analysts to learn about the latest capabilities and technologies of Hitachi’s data center modernization, data management, cloud, content intelligence, analytics and IoT solutions portfolios.

Momenta's Jesse DeMesa will be attending NEXT2018 and appearing in a panel discussion on Wednesday, the 26th (Day Two) "IoT: Bridge the Digital and Real Worlds With Intelligence at the Edge", discussing the specific use cases of intelligent Edge applications. The session will also explore the requirements of service providers, their challenges, and business models to drive new opportunities.

According to Jesse:

"The incoming data deluge from Connected Industry creates a challenge for organizations to manage, govern, mobilize and analyze data effectively. Edge computing - or an edge/cloud hybrid model means time-sensitive data is processed at the edge and less urgent analytics can be determined in the cloud. This enables new scenarios that are/were not possible/effective with cloud processing.

Along with are data storage and analysis, data  sovereignty and privacy needs to be secured throughout not only the active lifecycle but future storage. Further, the possibility of data monetization creates new opportunities, business models and financial benefits. This relies on considered planning and execution."
